Last week, a friend brought me here for a late-night meal, and I loved the friendly, divey diner vibe with its lunch counter, kitchen view, and walls covered in drawings. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our food-she had a melty cinnamon roll while I savored flaky biscuits with savory gravy in generous portions. On a recent morning visit, the service was just as warm, and though some dishes had minor flaws, the perfectly crispy hashbrowns and hearty breakfasts made me feel right at home in this classic Seattle eatery.
