Honestly, with all the understandably horrible reviews for C&L and the owner, one would think he'd just give up and get out of this business. Somehow, the grungy, Asian decor doesn't seem to go with the burger joint ambiance I imagined. My first visit there was so disappointing that I will never return. It's horribly expensive for what you get and the guy behind the counter never even indicated that cheese was $2 extra, or that I would pay $4 for 6 tator tots. Honestly, the owner should get into a business that suits him, and it's not a burger joint.

New here and decided to try this local spot for the gluten free options. $65 FOR THREE Hambugers, one large fry and two drinks. The ice tea was horrible and the food was just okay. The prices are way inflated and everything you put on your$12 burger is extra cost.

Absolutely the most expensive lunch on our entire trip!! The menu here is really old! Burger is now$11 and a grilled ham and cheese $8 with no ham and extra cheese made it $10!! Only one man there that we saw, very broken English, and would not explain charges!! What we had did taste good, though!

The place is no good and way to expensive. I've bought buffalo burgers here that were dried out and gross. I also bought ice cream cones that you could go to the store and buy a half a gallon of ice cream for the price of a small cone. Definitely NOT recommended

Hidden costs galore!!!! We stopped on our way home from Seattle and we're intrigued to ry a local spot that offered elk and bison burgers, not sure if my bison was bison??? Anyways, you want cheese +$2, you want mayo +$1, small fry $3.50 (12 fries), drink $3 for 6oz.... what's worse is that when you order none of this I explained until you look in shock at why it's $50 for 2 people. Don't go, sorry to say, not a local business worth supporting.

Holy cr@p! We should have stayed home and licked the paint off the walls. C&L is by far the worst dining experiance we've ever had. The sad part is we read the reviews before ordering and figured we would be the exception. When people say this place is a rip off they are not kidding. We ordered 3 meals and it was $97 dollars! . Example of their pricings $10.99 for a jake burger. When the guy asks what kind of cheese he doesnt tell you that its another dollar. If you want that piece of cheese to be pepperjack its another dollar on top of the first cheese dollar. Bacon is another $2 (and Im almost positive is wasnt real bacon...maybe turkey?) So your $10.99 burger just became a $14.99 burger. Then the owner has the b@lls to slap a "Flavor Upgrade" charge onto each burger for another .99 cents ( thats right a $16 dollar burger and thats w/o fries or a drink) sit down resteraunts dont even charge that. Quality? Well follks the bun wasnt toasted ,the tomato on the burgers are sliced as thin as a pickle slice, the onions werent peeled (at least not on 2 of the 3 burgers). Definatly not worth the price. Fries are another $6 and onion rings will cost you $9. Speaking of the onion rings Im not sure what their using for batter but it literally sucked the flavor out of my taste buds. Shakes are the quality of wendy's frosty if you leave it in a hot car for an afternoon and refreeze it because you paid a smooth $7 bucks for it. SERIOUSLY DON'T BE AS STUPID AS WE WERE TO THINK THE BAD REVIEWS WEREN'T HONEST REVIEWS. Save your money, get the higher quality and better service by visiting anywhere else on I5. In fairness I want to add that I did think the counters were just about the right height for the owners to bend their customers over.

Horrible

Worst place ever! Ordered two combos that said 8.00 on menu each. Were charged 34.00! A medium fry was filled halfway, not a speck of salt on them, halibut was a fish stick and the rolls were wayyy bigger than the meat.
Absolutely the worst waste of money ever. These people shouldn’t even be in business. Shady crap posting normal fast food prices and charging twice as much at work Dow!

Turkey Bacon BLT? Not clear on the menu that it’s turkey and not even a good quality Turkey Bacon. Onions are stored outside near a rusty contraption next to the drive-through.
Male (owner?) not wearing a mask working the drive-through.

I am not sure who Mikey is, but he is not telling the truth, test Mikey where was the original C&L located? in the early 60's thru until the new owners took it over there burgers and shakes, fries were the best as a life long resident i know this as a fact, the new owners, have destroyed this place, there food is aweful there cheap, service sucks, workers quit often because of owners poor manegment, in the early days there were older moms working there thiey should have a minus instead of only a low 1 star this place from other things i have heard from employees should not be allowed to even serve to the public

I went there today to order some onion rings I ordered a large size because last time I only got about four large ones, that was a couple years ago. He came back he handed me my credit card receipt for me to sign, then he handed me my order and I just looked at them and said, “you’ve got to be kidding me this is a large?” There were maybe six in there. He said you ordered a large, that’s a large and closed the window. Awful too! Never again.

Horrible. It was $18.00 for three little pieces of frozen fish and a few fries. I ask for an extra tarter sauce. That was extra. We’ll never go back.

Went to C & L Burger Bar the week or 8/04/14 . It is off exit 49 in Castle Rock, Wa. It was a nice day and there was a good crowd at the burger joint. Now this is the first time I have tried to eat here. I have lived here locally for 5 yrs. now. Thought I would spend my money locally. Small parking area. Small seating area. There were two empty seating areas inside. Placed my order for a bacon cheese burger, fries and a coke. My friend ordered a patty melt with fries and a milkshake. Took a seat at one of the four booth inside. Waited, and waited. Felt like we waited to long. Also I believe I was bumped in my order. Many people getting food that showed up after I ordered. Don't know if they take orders over the phone or what. Plus they do have a drive-thru. When I was about to get up and ask about my order, my order was brought out. I had my coke, but the shake never got made when the order was placed. So at the last minute they made the shake. As I looked at my burger, my friend looked at his patty melt. The patty melt looked like a hamburger. No rye bread, onions that looked like chillies my friend said. And the patty was burnt. Looked smaller than a McD's patty as well. My friend took it up to the counter and told them he didn't want it. It was burnt pretty bad. They ended up making him a new one. When they brought it to the table I was finishing with my burger, which was also burnt. Just not as bad, plus I was hungrier then my friend. He refused it and told them that they had wasted his money and time. C & L never offered to refund his portion of the meal. They even kicked him out of the restaurant because he swore at the waitress that didn't have a clue as what to do. First they remade his meal without asking if he wanted another patty melt or a refund. By this time the lunch crowd was arriving. It could be another 30 mins. or so before it was done. I mean they have a drive thru as well. And you know they get served first. I spent close to 20.00 for the meals. I felt like I was cheated out of my money, my friend was cheated out of a good lunch.
The restaurant employees high school girls to cashier and what not. Did not see an adult manager in the restaurant that should have stepped in to resolve this.
I just want to make you aware that you may have to wait a bit for a overpriced, overcooked burger and fries. Plus, I did see people leaving because it was taking to long just to get to the counter. Not because of the amount of people, but because of the lack of professionalism for a business that has been operating for the length of time it says it has.
It has a poster with the history of the restaurant. Not the original owners. Been bought and sold 3-4 times.
I will not return for any reason at this point.
This is a true experience, not a fake review.
