Worst Restaurant on Lopez Island! We went to this place for breakfast. Wanted to order pancakes but they did not offer so we read the description about the "Belgium Waffle" $9.00. It looked good on paper so decided to order it to share (Thinking it was going to be big). We also got the Love Dog Juevos $13 (2 Eggs [Never asked how we would like them prepared by the way], little bit of salsa, on a small corn tortilla with 2 extra small corn tortillas on the side) and this is supposed to be the large portion. So the so called Belgium Waffle came out and we looked at each other and said, "That's it"? It looked more like an Eggo waffle! It tasted even worse, like cardboard! It was on the verge of being burned. It came with a little portion of syrup and no butter. I asked the waitress about the portion, and if it came with anything else for $9.00. She said, "Well we can put peaches on it". So she came back with the small waffle with peaches on it. So we were like whatever and ate it even though it tasted really bland like burned cardboard. We ordered coffee by the way for our drinks. 30 minutes into our breakfast and the waitress never came back to ask us if we wanted a refill on our coffee. She was busy talking with a table of young kids that were here for a skateboard event. Telling them that she just moved here from Colorado and chit chatting and flirting. Then another waitress came over since the one from Colorado was busy chit chatting with the young boys. She asked us if there was anything else we wanted, and we said since we didn't get a refill on our coffee can we both get one to go. She said sure and came back with the coffees and the bill. I looked at it and there was an additional charge on there for $1.00 for the to go coffees. I took the bill up to the counter and spoke to the original waitress that was now back to work. I asked her if the coffee refills are free? She said yes. So I pointed out on the bill where there was an extra $1.00 charge. She looked at me and said in a snotty tone,"Well I can take that $1.00 off if you would like". I said yes. Then the other waitress said across the room, "That is for inventory". So the original waitress from Colorado said,"Then we can't take it off for you. Is there anything else I can do for you." I said now that you mention it the waffle was super small, almost burned, tasted really bland, and came out with no butter! She did not sympathize with me at all and said again with her snotty tone of voice,"Well you read the description on the menu". That is when I said,"You know what I am going to write a review about your poor food quality and even less than poor customer service". She said,"Oh, your going to write a review and smirked". This is an honest review of what exactly happened. This establishment charges way too much and gives you less than adequate proportions. I can live with that. It is the attitude and the lack of cooperation and service that gets me. They clearly should have done something about the so called Belgium waffle and, without question should have not charged us the $1.00 for the coffee to go due to not having a refill while having breakfast. The attitude and confrontation from the staff is definitely uncalled for in the service industry. I would HIGHLY avoid this establishment. They clearly DO NOT care about their customers. Thank you for reading this honest and true review.
