Back in the old days, before Han Ah Reum took over, there used to be a Korean restaurant tucked away in the corner by the meat section. I remember trying their Kong Gook Soo, a dish with cold noodles in a soybean soup, served in a beautiful black bowl with cucumber slices and soy foam on top. Unfortunately, that meal ended up being my first and only encounter with food poisoning, so I can't bring myself to eat Kong Gook Soo anymore. Now, when it comes to Korean grocery stores, I'd recommend checking out Pal-do World instead of getting drawn in by Han Ah Reum's flashy exterior. Pal-do World has been a staple in the city for a while, offering great deals and a friendly atmosphere, not to mention their delicious beongohbbang and kalbi ribs.
