we decided to stop in after a weekend of backpacking. We had several hungry kids so we entered the side that was family friendly. There was hardly anyone there yet the service was horrible. To top it off, 2 people in our group were open carrying and were asked to disarm because they said the state laws prevented them from having firearms in the establishment. When we provided the correct rcw and their error in quoting them, they became hostile right away. the 2 decided to step outside and asked to speak to a manager in which they were told there was no manager working that day. They decided to leave and contacted the owner in which to this day has not responded or returned any calls and this over 2 weeks ago. Further, there were no signs stating it was a gun free zone. The only sign was the required sign entering the bar which we were not in. Once the 2 people left, the staff for the most part disappeared and at this point a few others came in for lunch and were waiting for a long time to even get drinks. The waitresses and bartender were also in the kitchen helping the cook and ignored all of the guests. Food wasn't very good either which matched the service. We thought this would be a great place being in a small town but we were clearly wrong. The staff was extremely rude and confrontational. If it were not for the kids being hungry, we would have left.

Awful. Awful atmosphere, in fact it felt like I'd just walked into a bar in the 40's and I was the wrong color. Non filtered water, (sewer smell) it appears the problem might not have been fixed since the last owners had it. The bartender couldn't show me the back of her head quick enough. She didn't give me a chance to try and order something to eat. No suggestive selling of any kind, despite the fact that there is a kitchen.
