Food poisoning, the meatball sandwich was room temperature when served. Didn't consider the possibilities, but within the hour it was obvious. Will never go back.

I took my family to Uncle Uli's during Christmas lighting. I've seen this place way busier than when I walked up, but the door guy acted like he was crowd control for a rock concert. My wife came in separately and had the same bad experience with the overzealous doorman. She even suggested to the owner that his employee should take a break to keep from offending more customers.
Unfortunately the servers and the owner carried the bad service torch from there. Slow and unconcerned would be the best description of the serving staff. When I finally did get one, my craft beer was served in a plastic Bud Light cup. Even though the other bars in town we're able to continue serving beer in glass mugs, uncle Uli's found it easier to break out the stack of plastic party cups. When I politely expressed my disappointment to the owner, he was clearly offended.
Then, when we tried to seat my family on the side of the bar that was supposed to be okay for kids, I ran afoul of their seating system. instead of resolving it smoothly, the owner made it clear he was not interested in our business. Condescending and confrontational! I've never been treated wors. I can't imagine how they handle people who are real problems. Judging by some of the Yelp reviews, I'd say it's time to sell the place and let someone who cares about customers take over the business.
