Driving through Amarillo, I decided to try Rudy's and was instantly reminded of my time in San Antonio. The ribs were smoky and flavorful, and the creamed corn tasted just like I remembered, while the brisket had good flavor despite being a bit chewy. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere had a charming old garage vibe, and the banana pudding made for a perfect road trip snack.

During our drive through the panhandle, we made a stop at this nostalgic spot that reminded me of my days in San Antonio. I decided to try the brisket and ribs with creamed corn and coleslaw, along with a cold topo Chico and banana pudding for dessert. The brisket had good flavor, although a bit chewy, while the ribs were smoky and flavorful. The creamed corn was as delicious as I remembered, and the woman who took our order was friendly and even gave me a veteran's discount.

I have the worst experiences with Rudy's carry out orders. The order is never and I mean never correct; therefore, I will not be using Rudy's again for another six months and just maybe Rudy's will have new managers and employees that can handle a simple. Rudy's make the order on the bags but what's inside is a total surprise. I also I notice no problem with payment amount it is always correct.
