Home of the 1lb cone! Do a 100 and be part of the 100lb Club! There's a bunch of options for Briq's, but their claim to fame for this drew us in and also their usage of local milk. I got the Waffelicious - which is a mix in of waffle cone, fudge, pecans. Pretty lite, but a fun soft serve spot iconic to have during a summer roadtrip. I mean it's soft serve ice cream. What more is there to say and what is there not to like? Situated a little south of Minocqua away from the downtown hustle and bustle. Very reasonably priced soft serve and very generous serving size. The sign claims to be home of a one pound soft serve cone. I didn't see one, but that certainly would be one heck of an icecream cone. A nice little sweet treat stop and a good spot to get out of the car to stretch your legs before hitting town or before heading home. Love their soft serve, it's my favorite of all time. I always get the zebra soft serve, but my friends have gotten the mixers and they loved those as well. A great place to go for quick, cheap, and yummy ice cream. Definitely recommend making a stop and pushing yourself by ordering the pound of soft serve (it's so good and surprisingly light?? In my opinion??) The thrill of getting a one pound cone was worth the $3 it cost. I got mine with rainbow sprinkles & hubby got his plain. We are them in the car, mess free, which amazed us with such a huge cone. It really is a whole POUND of ice cream. I couldn't eat it all, but I'll still order the pounder next time. It's just so cool! And delicious! Still awesome. Super friendly guys behind the counter, great ice cream, giant servings, and decent prices. We got a medium zebra (chocolate & vanilla) cone and a small cup of vanilla for four bucks. Local Wisconsin chain for soft serve provided a satisfying end of day treat. My girlfriend got a large cone with vanilla covered in krunch kote and i got my all-time favorite: a peanut butter cup freezee. It was a delicious treat to bring to Torpy Park to watch the sunset. Choose Briq's for delicious soft serve ice cream; you can feel the weight of the cone when purchased. My fave is the zebra cone; a twist of vanilla and chocolate. The root beer floats are hughly touted as well. There is a Briq's in Wausau, as well as other locations in WI. Enjoy!
