The dining experience was fantastic, with delicious food and refreshing drinks. The staff was incredibly accommodating, going out of their way to ensure our friend's service dog was welcomed. Sitting by the river provided a lovely view, and the meal was cooked to perfection. It was a memorable evening from start to finish!

Good news: the food was very good, served promptly and hot. We tried both the baked and fried cod on a Friday night. Should have 3.5 rating as is better than average. Bad news: a sun shade is needed on the south windows of the porch. Very glaring sun at window seats; trying to reach the restaurant by phone is abysmal. VM answers with a promise to return call, which does not happen. I kept trying for over two hours and finally raised a waitress with little knowledge of reservations system. Food is good, but telephone service needs to improve to continue business.

The porch still slants toward the Rock River and fireplace warms the dining room but now it has a farm to table attitude. That includes pheasant, free range organic chicken, prime rib and Wisconsin wine and spirits. We had the scallops and the sirloin. Everything was just right. The Friday night was very busy and the staff was really moving to keep up. Bill at the bar is great. 7 kinds of Vodka I think. Q-cumber? yah they do have that
