I recently had a poor experience at this restaurant. I walked into the restaurant on a Sunday at 10:30am and was encouraged to sit in the smoking section, presumably because they expected families to show up who would not want to sit in the smoking section.

I was compliant and sat where he wanted me to sit.

I ordered a large meal with an additional pancake with coffee and pulled out some papers for school that I wanted to work on while I was eating. I am not a full-time student but going back for an MBA.

I ate all of my food and my table was cleared by the server. I still had 3/4 of my coffee left and refused a refill when the server offered it. With the table cleared, I centered my papers on the table and worked on some of the homework.

Five minutes later the restaurant owner came over and asked if I was finished eating. I said yes and he told me that he wanted me to leave because there were people lining up to sit. There were two other people in my section that were there when I arrived and I assumed they should be kicked out too.

My only point is that I should be able to finish my coffee before I am told to leave. I did not take a refill and I was planning on leaving shortly. No matter where or when I go out to eat, I like to have a little time to digest my food. I also like to have a coffee after most meals.

I was very disappointed with the service, not from the server, but from the owners of the restaurant. I will not go back to the restaurant and I will recommend that my friends do not go back either. I work in Fort and I used to go to lunch at this restaurant and I used to bring co-workers to this restaurant with me. The fact that I was at the restaurant by myself and was misjudged to be a student, I was asked to leave the restaurant before my coffee was gone.

I will not patron any restaurant that does not allow a customer to finish their coffee.
