My wife and I, both over 55, stopped by on a Monday evening craving a simple family restaurant experience, and the friendly young waitresses provided quick, efficient service. I ordered a cheeseburger cooked closer to medium than medium well, but it was still really tasty and came with a hearty portion and good chicken dumpling soup, while my wife enjoyed a generous serving of breaded fried shrimp. The next morning, I went back for a classic breakfast of bacon, eggs, rye toast, and bottomless coffee with French vanilla creamer, all at very reasonable prices and served in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
