Jana the manager was so rude She talked so loud that everyone turned and looked at us. How embarrassing she never greeted us nor welcomed us She said in a very loud Voice You Can't eat that in here my husband said I'm going to order and eat with my wife she then said Loudly, You can take yours with you. Everyone still talking and looking down on us. So unprofessional.

review_stars 10/29/2011 - Somone who cares
Its truly amazes me how somone can say the place is filthy and the food is terrible. I have ate there many times and the service is great. and as for the management it is outstanding they do have a christian love and many people come there because there is no fowl language and the servers do care. And if something is wrong with your order they try to fix it. Also you can call the GM and he will call you back and make it right. In there menu there is picture of the GM and a statement and it say with God all.things are possible where have you ever went and ate and in the menu they let you know how they stand and who they represent and trust. So if you had a bad experience you surely.didn't try to have it fixed. And the salad bar has many good choices.

review_stars 04/05/2011 - Treated with respect and Love
I have read these reviews sent by some people that it really makes me angry. I have been to many restaurants in my time but i have never came to one where the Manager greets you and talks to you. They try to give you the best atmosphere possible and take pride in what they do. If something is wrong with the Meal or the buffet they get write on it and make it right. and they greet you with a smile and its not fake so whoever feels like they are unappreciated at this restaurant cant be pleased at any restaurant. Thank You and God Bless

I'm not sure what was wrong with the previous person writing a review. They must have been trying to get a free meal and it didn,t work. Iron Skillet is a very clean restaurant, the service is always good and I know many people return because the food is excellent. I suggest the previous reviewer get some of that incredibly tasteful Christain material it just may help. Jesus is LORD! Thanks...

review_stars 02/01/2010 - New management?
what a hellhole that place has become! The bathroom was so filthy I had to keep my purse on my lap when I was in the stall. And this was at noon, when one would think cleanliness would be at a premium. That should have been a cue not to hit the buffet. Se, we do Iron Skillets and other truck stops when we travel, because it's a gimme I'll have plenty to eat there (I'm vegetarian). Again, this was at noon, when the food should have been at its freshest, but nooooo. All of the vegetables had obviously been sitting out for many hours to where even the vinaigrette dressing was gelatinous. Really?

So yeah, after choking down only half a plate, I asked a manager to take it off my bill, to which I got into an argument over it. I pointed out how the mayo salads were covered in a layer of yellowy crust (which I didn't eat of course!), and he was like "Well it looks fine to me!" What?!? Buffets are supposed to at least be rotated into new bins every hour! I know this from working in food service as far back as four! Don't tell ME that stuff is edible! And when I said the bathroom was absolutely filthy, he just walked away.

Oh but yet.... but YET... every fifteen minutes, a Bible study announcement came overhead, with half the stuff in the gift shop having huge Christian overtones. We hit these places very often while traveling, this one at least once a year, so it was very obvious there's new management in town... and not for the better. :(
