Sardine impressed me from the moment I walked in, with its elegant yet unpretentious vibe and stunning lake views that set the perfect mood for any occasion. The food consistently hits the mark-crispy fries, flavorful mussels, and a wine list that would make any connoisseur swoon-though a few dishes have wobbled on flavor or temperature, the stellar service always swoops in to save the day. Whether it's a lively happy hour or a cozy dinner, the friendly staff and creative menu keep me coming back for more, making it a must-try in Madison's dining scene.

Very, very small menu. Small portions, not accurately described dishes, and general bad food.
