Wonderful place! One of the few remaining authentic German/Swiss eateries in northern IL and WI (including Chicago!) Great Food, nice service people (sometimes a bit slow) great lunchtime buffet, and Tuesday night theme nights. Friday menu is mostly FISH; some German items not served that day, so plan ahead

We have reservations , we get there and they are very crowded. We waited about 15 minutes past reservation time. 4 more people come in, they wait about 5 minutes and get seated ( now remember tables are for 4) We wait another 10 minutes before getting seated. Now the fun starts, We watch a table of 6 come in about 5 min. after us. another couple of 2 5min later, another couple of 2 1/2 hour later. You know where this is going don't you, we waited an hour and 10 minutes with no food while we watch all these other people getting served. We then got up and left. We have been there before with only minor problems, and the fish was good.
