This is without a doubt the best in the area. Chef Kwok does an outtanding job. The dishes are all exceptional and the prices are more than reasonable. The Peking duck cannot be beat!

The food is good, but the portions are chinsy. We ordered Seafood soup for two and were served a half-full bowel of soup with hardly any seafood in it.

SHANGHAI VILLAGE IS THE ONLY CHINESE RESTAURANT WHERE EACH SAUCE IS DISTINCTIVE . ALL DISHES ARE PREPARED TO ORDER, THE FOOD IS ALWAYS FRESH. THE SERVICE IS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 26 YEARS, EVER SINCE THEY WERE IN THEIR OLD LOCATION.
I FIND OTHER RESTAURANTS LACKING KWOK'S
EXPERTISE. PAT FROM CHEVY CHASE

This is without doubt the finest Chinese food around. Try the seafood specials, especially any sort of crispy fish (especially flounder and grouper) and the soft shells when they're in (fantastic). Tempura-like, steaming inside and ask for the spicy ginger-scallion sauce on the side. Order the ginger chicken spicy (normally not) for tender sliced chicken with scallions and a lot of fresh ginger. Chef Kwoc does a great job with Peking duck carved by himself at the table. spring rolls are fresh daily and light.
Park behind in the back of the Giant lot if the immediate spaces are filled.

Hands down, me & my family's favorite Chinese restaurant of all time! Everything rat a "10" there, and the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Cheung, are wonderfully nice people..

Absolutely love this place! Went there when it was China village and still go back now. The food is probably the best in the area so it sucks i live out in VA but its worth coming to Bethesda for!

The new face of an old favorite...China Village. The restaurant moved to present Location and Name a few years back from a block up the street. Same owners and same chefs. Still the best chinese food in DC area hands down. Make sure to check the specials board.....they are not to be missed. This place uses the best ingredients I have ever seen in a chinese restaurant and is a great value as well. Ask any customer in the dining room.....they are sure to be a regular.
