Creme is a jewel. Since my first visit there, my addictions to their food keep me coming back. However, each time I have been, Chef T is in the kitchen keeping it going and keeping it real. This past Sunday, Chef T was not in the kitchen and it showed. The crab cake came out cold, the chicken was not seasoned well, and the pancakes were not their usual flavorful, fluffy selves. I hope this is not a sign because we did not eat most of the food and left there to go somewhere else to get our fill. My friend said she would not eat there again until Chef T was in the kitchen. I, however, will give it another try and hope that he is there.

Creme' is fantastic. The crabcake in that delicate phillo dough is unbelieveable. And please, never ever take away the mushroom appetizer with white tuffle oil and mascarpone cheese, absolutely decadent. Although moderately expensive, I still give value a "10" based on the mushroom appetizer ingredients alone. All the food platings are plentiful and the ingredient throughout the menu are top-shelf. All that fantastic food and impeccable service and atmospere to boot. You'll be treated by a personal visit from the chef along with wait staff that are always knowledgeable as well as pleasant. The restaurant is small but translates into cozy and charming. I'm partial to the high bench seating, very romantic in the corners. The best news is the benchs are deep enough so your legs don't fall asleep (great news for my fellow commorodes with long legs-smile). With that said Creme' gets 10's all around from me. Treat Yourself and Enjoy!

Loved Creme. Their hummus is made from lima beans...and is divine! All the food I've had there has been tasty. The shrimp and grits, pork and beans, mushroom appetizer...all perfect! Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, great atmosphere.

I have been walking across the street to Crème for about 7 months now and I have to say to everyone who is just finding out about Crème how come it took you so long to find this place! But that said this is one of the best places in the city to have dinner or brunch. It satisfies all my desires for food from the hamburger and pork shank-n-beans to the Sunday Brunch bottomless mimosas. My partner and I dine at Crème 2 to 3 times a week. While dining at the bar one night not long ago I told Chef T that I wouldn’t have to dine in any other restaurant in the city if he had sweetbreads on the menu. I figured that as like most chefs he would say that he doesn’t do sweetbreads. I was shocked and most pleased to hear that sweetbreads are one of Chef T’s favorite foods as well. So he is going to make me sweetbreads. I feel like I have gone to food heaven right now! I know of very few places you can go in DC and get that kind of service if you are just an everyday person. Well I want you to know I feel like a Rock Star right now and will let you know how the sweetbreads turn out later this week.

Wow! Imaginative and delicately balanced drinks. Bach, the bartender, looked after us, tailored drinks to our desires and hit a home run. He's a professional, a gentleman and what a resovoir of drink knowledge! The perfect pre or post dinner date spot. I left feeling sublime.
