If good, classic Italian food is what you seek, search no further than La Tomate. Unfortunately, if you seek it at the price your you'd expect from a restaurant-next-door type establishment, you'll have to search elsewhere. The casual outdoor decor is deceiving because the interior of this traditional-looking Italian cucina is fitting of a three star of NYC. A great place to impress a date once inside, La Tomate features artistic paintings, a mini-grand piano at the entrance, a second floor connected by spiral staircase, and trees decorated with white lights. Overall however, I feel they've taken a few shortcuts and downplayed the quality they seem to demand with the pricing.
