Drove all the way from north of DC to take my wife to Miss Saigon last night for Mother's Day. She was worth it, the restaurant was not.
The decor (advertised as a Vietnamese garden setting) had a few plastic palm trees and several straw hats on the walls. Tacky, but we came for the food and a wonderful first experience.
We were seated in the back of the front section, and my wife observes that the open door from the entrance is letting in all the loud street noise from the cars and buses in addition to the fumes. We asked the manager (who was also the bar tender) if he could please close the door. He said "No, I need to leave it open to get more customers". This was a very poor start to what we were hoping would be a pleasant experience and evening. Clearly, once you were inside, you as a customer, was considered history.
The crab and asparagus soup for $4.99 was ridiculous, with microscopic bits of crab rather than pieces.
The two entrees we had were OK, but hardly good enough to ever warrant coming back.
