The exterior of this place may not catch your eye at first glance, nestled among other eateries on 23rd Street, but the warm greeting from the staff sets the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The sushi selection was impressively fresh and each bite was bursting with delicious flavors. The generous portions of nigiri and the flavorful spicy crab roll left me eager to return and explore more of their menu.

Bonsai sushi is some of the best sushi for the price in Arlington or Alexandria. My wife and I frequent the place and always come away full with about a $30-$40 check for the two of us. The service is always speedy and they generally include miso soup and a salad no matter what you order. I worked in a sushi restaurant and in other restaurant for a couple of years and this place definitely does it right for a quick, tasty neighborhood restaurant.

Never mind that first review up there, they don't know what Sushi should taste like. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Sushi. My wife and I frequently go and it is always fresh and very flavorful. The Suzuki Roll is fantastic!

The convenience, value, and service are great. Too bad the sushi is so B rate - I am not impressed.

A very great atmosphere, very kind service, and great food. I recommand all D.C. visitors to visit this restaurant. My favorite sushi restaurant to go too.

Bonzai is a great little oasis tucked away on 23rd St in Crustal City. The food is delicious and fresh. We go once a month and it never disappoints!
