great food

I went to LIAS today to have lunch with a friend for the first time.
I ordered the arugula salad with parmesan and paid extra to have it topped with sliced calamari. All for $20.
The salad came with measly sprinkles of cheap tasteless grated parmesan;
I was expecting shaved parmesan .
The calamari was terrible; almost each piece had an outer membrane impossible to chew and swallow.
I almost gagged. The chef should know better to clean the calamari of all its membrane.
The service was good but the food quite mediocre . The waiter made no effort to rectify.
Neither of us want to go back.

This restaurant is very beautiful inside or out on the patio. I thought the portions were on the small side though everything was delicious. The gelato was particularly good... the mint gelato tasted like fresh mint. It was a nice place though we got seated in the bar area and had a different server for everything ordered. Probably best to make reservations!
