My wife, daughter, and I stayed two nights at the Ritz-Carlton in Arlington, right by the Pentagon City Metro and mall, and it was an experience full of thoughtful touches-from a kids' kiosk handing out crayons and gummy bears to a club lounge with monument views and a candy bar. Our room on the 18th floor had comfy amenities and stunning views of D.C.'s iconic landmarks, though the beds were a bit snug for three, leading to an impromptu mattress-on-the-floor solution. The staff's warmth made us feel like family, with little surprises for our daughter and a workout area featuring a Peloton bike that almost made me a spin class convert-plus, the marble decor and lighting made the whole stay feel unexpectedly luxurious and relaxing.
