Went for lunch with a friend, although the food was good but the person who brought our bill embarrassed me to pay tip. (Though I had rounded the figure). When I said my friend had already paid the tip as we split the bill he went on to say that we were supposed to pay 15% of the amount.
Never in my stay in DC have I experienced a server come to the table to forcefully pay the tip or say that the amount mentioned is very low. Pathetic customer service. They didn't do anything additional to deserve a tip, serving customer is their job not embarrassing them.
