Moving from Miami to rural Ohio was a real adjustment for my Cuban/Spanish palate, especially with the limited ethnic food options around here. Discovering George's International Market in Fort Wayne introduced me to a solid selection of Hispanic foods like green plantains, tamales, and fresh carnitas, plus an authentic taqueria inside that serves some of the best tacos I've had in a while.

Moving from Miami to rural Ohio has been a real change for my taste buds, especially with my Cuban/Spanish background. I was excited to try George's International Market after hearing about it, hoping for a wide variety of foods. The store's "international" label was a bit overstated with mostly Mexican offerings, but I did find some familiar favorites like green plantains and other Hispanic products. Despite some initial confusion and disappointment, I ended up finding a lot of items my family loves, like plantain chips, tamales, and guava nectar, and I'll likely return for more.
