I'm generally conservative with giving too many stars for a restaurant until I've tried it on several occasions. So having been to Blue Yuu eight times -- sometimes for dinner, sometimes for lunch -- I can honestly say that my food has been very good to down right wonderful every single visit and I want to be sure that other fans of Asian food get the word: Try this restaurant NOW! It has been open for several months but every time I have been in, there are only a few other diners during our visits.
Raytown has an opportunity to become a "destination location" for the metro area if we can get the word out about Blue Yuu.
There is a good mix of authentic Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese offerings that include some things (Like Orange Beef) that I have had before and some things that are brand new to my palate (like Yaki goyza, which is a pork stuffed dumpling thing served with a dipping sauce).
I try to get something new and different every time I visit but I and my family do have some special favorites. The chicken kabobs appetizers, a wonderful vegetable seafood pancake appetizer and the various sizzling hot plates we have had more than once. And I sometimes dream of the beef dolsot (in a stone pot) bibimbap. (I looked it up on wikipedia to even know what it was).
Be sure to give it a try --SOON!
