Oh boy, let me tell you about this Indian restaurant that has my heart dancing! Their butter chicken and garlic naan are pure bliss, and I've fallen head over heels for the dal makhani and that refreshing mango lassi-seriously, it's love at first bite! Plus, the delivery is speedy, the portions are generous, and the flavors are so good, I'm practically skipping to the kitchen for leftovers!

This Indian restaurant is my absolute favorite in the area, and I can't get enough of their delicious butter chicken and garlic naans. Every time I dine here, I am always impressed by the quality and flavors of the food. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the portions are just right - it's a must-try for any Indian food lover in the neighborhood!

Really, really disappointed in the takeout we ordered from Jewel of India on Lark Street tonight. I ordered on Mealeo at 5:44; it said to allow 45-60 minutes. At 6:55 (71 minutes along), I called and asked what was going on. They said they had just gotten the order - that it was in their spam e-mail box, and that this was a problem they've had a lot with Mealeo. (THEN... FIX IT!!) They said they'd get it out ASAP, and that I should expect to see it in 10-15 minutes.
30 minutes later, it wasn't here. I called back to check on it and she said the delivery guy should've been by already. She said she'd call the delivery guy and then get back to me.
20 minutes and no phone calls later, I'm in my car driving to the restaurant. It's two miles away. On the way there I get a call from the delivery driver, saying he's outside the door. I call my girlfriend at home and ... nope, he's not there, he's at a different house.
I get to the restaurant to voice my displeasure with waiting TWO HOURS for my food, and they had nothing but excuses. NOTHING. They kept talking about how Mealeo only sends the orders "when they feel like it" (even though every other restaurant I've used Mealeo for gets the order INSTANTLY) and how maybe it got caught in the mail server because they use AOL, about how they made the food as soon as they got the order... and so on, and so on. Nobody offered to comp the meal or anything.
You know, if we'd come in and *sat down* and waited TWO HOURS for our food, giving us the food for free would be the LEAST they would do.
But wait, there's more! To "apologize" they gave us two bottles of fruit juice and a "50% off your dine-in order" card. That's it.
The drinks we ordered were tiny - two little dixie cup-sized chai teas that cost $3 each. And they got the order wrong. We ordered the Jewel Naan, which is described as "naan stuffed with chopped coconut, almonds & raisins." We got naan with a little powdery coconut in it... and nothing else.
Yeahhhhhhhhh. You can keep your 50% off card. *THIS* cost me $40, but your awful service cost my future business.
