I really wish I could give zero stars! I called on Easter Sunday and was told they were open until 10pm, ok I have enough time to travel to Brooklyn from Chappaqua NY. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by very unqualified employees. The young lady taking the orders after smacking her lips and texting on her cell phone she was ready to take the order of the lady in front of me. This lady came in to pick up an order of yams and of course the same person who took her order told her it is no way she ordered a catered order for yams today. This lady was very calm and explained the time she called produced her cell phone with the time of the call and the length of the call. After this she was told give them an hour and she could come back for her order but pay now. Now it's my turn, I ordered shrimp with double Mac and Cheese, and fish with greens and potato salad. I was told they didn't have potato salad in 3 days ok give me yams. I also wanted peach cobbler but it was sitting on the bar and looked as if it was there for days. No Thank You! My mom goes to the bathroom and hears the owner yelling at the chef , because the chef threw out the Mac & Cheese the chef was explaining to the owner "but you told me to throw it out because it wasn't good". The owner was very upset as if he wanted the chef to dig it out of the trash. During this time another young lady came to the front and told me "we anit got no more Mac & Cheese, pick something else". At this point I had enough and wanted my money back $23.95. I wasn't given a receipt at purchase and now was told I must produce a receipt I was still calm and told them I want my money now!! At this time my mom is returning from the bathroom and is like cancel the order due to the conversation she over heard in the restroom. Well it took 15mins and 3 different young ladies to return my money as the owner just stayed in the back with no regard as to losing a customer. I will never ever never eat anything from Bed Stuy Fish Fry. I unfollowed the restaurant on Instagram as I don't believe the photos shown is what you will receive and even if they are half the stuff on the menu they don't have!! This is a very honest review.
