Food is always fresh, hot and delish!

I have come here for years, and sadly tonight will be my last. They have had good food in the paste unfortunately the customer service and lack of caring is the breaking point. I have dealt with Fried Ice cream that was just a scope of ice-cream in a tub of cool whip (not their norm, and didn't find out till I got home), over charging on bills to have to walk back in and get sorted, to food cooked wrong or the wrong order on carry out all together. All separate occasions and all I have still gone back. Tonight we sat for over an hour and watched the tables around us seated after us get their food before us. Once we said something to the gentleman clearing dishes he said something to our waitress who franticly flipped through her book and ran to the kitchen (if I had to guess she forgot to turn in the ticket). I asked for our two drinks to me taken off the bill since we had to wait for over an hour to get our food. We had 1 pop & 1 Daiquiri, I did not think that was too much to ask for. The owner thought it was too much to ask for and told me he would not take the two drinks off. I told him we come here so often we don't even look at the menu we always get the same order and things were just not done proper this evening. He didn't want to hear it, so I told him this would be our last time. He in return told me that was my choice. So this review is also my choice. I am sad to lose the only sit down restaurant in Elkview because taking a a few dollars off a bill to keep a long time customer happy was too much. Sorry for the long read, I wanted to paint a clear picture of what lead to my families last trip to La Carreta in Elkview.

We go there at least once a week. Most of their items are amazing!! They can be occasionally slow on weekends, but great food.

Traveling from CA & found a place we would definitely come back to! Food and service was very good. A pleasant surprise!
