If you ever find yourself in the middle of nowhere just off Highway 281, and you're starving, head north of Grand Island to St. Paul, NE, and hang a left at the Howard Avenue stoplight. A few blocks down, in the middle of main street America, you'll find American Legion Post 119, which is open to the public for dinner from 5-10pm every night. Head down the stairs of the nondescript brick building, and you'll find a dark, small dining room right out of the 80's, complete with mirrored wall behind the bar and George Strait blasting on the stereo.
