Growing up around here, it's pretty wild to think that Butterbean, the pro fighter, runs this BBQ and steak joint in Jasper. The food hits the spot-my dad's hamburger steak was packed with flavor, and my sister couldn't stop raving about her mushroom Swiss burger and fries. The atmosphere feels like a mini sports museum, the service is friendly even when they're short-staffed, and the portions are generous enough to satisfy any appetite.

Can a professional fighter successfully operate a restaurant? If that fighter is Butterbean, the answer is a resounding yes! My family and I visited Mr Bean's BBQ & Steakhouse in Jasper recently, which is owned by Eric Esch, also known as Butterbean. Despite Butterbean's impressive fighting career, the food at the restaurant was equally impressive. The atmosphere was unique, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious.

We have heard of this place before. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. We live in Cullman and it is truly worth the drive. Plan on another trip there soon.

Great!! Food was great, great attitudes, waitress by the name of Allison, was very sweet and a cutie! Loved it amazing food!
