The food and service at Rick's in Florence, Alabama consistently impress me, from the delicious barbecue and loaded potatoes to the friendly, fast service and clean environment. Having tried many barbecue styles across the country, I can confidently say Rick's flavors are fresh and smoky, making it a favorite whenever I'm in the area or passing through.

The food and service at Rick's in Florence are consistently impressive, making each visit a pleasure. From the loaded potatoes to the barbecue, everything I've tried has been delicious, and I've never left disappointed. Whenever I'm in the area visiting family, I make it a point to stop by for a meal, knowing I'll enjoy great flavors and friendly service.

I get take out a couple times a month, always a slaw dog and slice of lemon pie. Today the dog was fine but the pie was just a sliver compared to the usual slice. I was back at my workplace by then so I called to say I was not happy. The man told me that was normal and I knew better. Told me to bring it back but could not leave work again. As I was getting the napkins out from underneath the pie container I was sickened to see that they were all wadded up and soiled with grease. One even was folded up with a yellow substance inside it. It was as if it were a garbage sack with my food in it! I started to call back but since he did not seemed concerned the first time did not figure he would believe me about the napkins. I did have a coworker see me take it all out of the sack, though. It will be a long time before I eat here again.

BBQ pork is just right and the spicey fries will spoil you for any other fries!
