While passing through the area on my way to the beach, I discovered Benton's and was blown away by the delicious homemade food and friendly service. This locally owned restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that far exceeds typical chain options, making it a must-visit for anyone nearby.

I had the club, husband had the bacon cheeseburger. We split onion rings. Everything was delicious. The sandwich was big enough for 2, plenty of meat.. I brought half with us. The young lady who took our order and the one who brought our food were very friendly. If we're everyday way again, we'll make sure to stop in.

Some one needs to learn how to make a grill cheese without burning it. Ordered two and got to burned. Had to scrap them before they could be eaten.

Prices are too high for the area. Portions fall short of their 15 bucks for a burger plate and tea.

My daughters and I ate lunch here on Dec.31,2014. We dined in and it took 45mins or longer to get our food. Once our food was brought out to us ; it was COLD. My oldest daughter order some fried dill pickles and they was cold and tasted like old grease. The burger I ordered was burnt and cold. The meat was so cold the cheese wouldn't even melt on it. The chicken club that may oldest daughter ordered was the same way. The grilled chicken sandwich my 7 year old got ;had bacon on it so hard it could have been used as a weapon. The only thing that was remotely warm was a order of cheese sticks and fries. If it wasn't for the fact that my children was starving and sitting there with me.... I would have ever more raised HELL, but then again the young girls working this day did not even as much showed their faces in the dining area after they brought us our food. Not one time was we asked if everything was alright or even asked if we need refills on our drinks. I know they are not a typical restaurant with waiters and so forth but damn a little common courtesy goes along way.. You would think after paying $33.95 your food would at least be eatable. I have been eating at Benton's since I was a little girl and have always enjoyed it until today. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN FOOD AND SERVICE!!!!! WILL NOT BE BACK..
