My favorite BBQ joint in Birmingham and the over-the-mountain area is Full Moon. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade, always ordering the pork plate with cole slaw and baked beans. The vinegar-based cole slaw is a standout for me, and I can't get enough of their chow chow sauce and the half-dipped dark chocolate cookies. I had one instance of fatty pork, but that was an anomaly, and overall, Tony and his team consistently deliver delicious food with excellent service.
