What a pleasant surprise! The Totem in Valdez has been entirely rebuilt since the fire in 2016 and is now a standout accommodation in the area. Despite some imperfections common to small-town Alaska hotels, the modern amenities and thoughtful touches at Totem make for a comfortable stay. From electric car plug-ins to specially equipped rooms for blind and deaf guests, this hotel goes above and beyond in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.
