The food at this establishment was a bit of a mixed bag for me. While I thoroughly enjoyed the carne asada fries with no complaints, my husband and his brother were less than impressed with the overly sweet el pastor. Despite this, the waitress was attentive and accommodating, making our dining experience enjoyable overall.

The quality of the food is fallen off in the last 18 months. It's a gamble if you're gonna take your order home or someone else's. No quality control. It's time to take a break and try someone else.

And it's sad because we've been going there since it opened up.

Been going there for years got take out tonight...... after the bull we have dealt with restaurants had this chance to make there delivery and take out better..... it was not .......
Maybe its time for you guys to decide if its about the bar or the food..... horrible are the beans and rice from a week ago and really nothing was fresh except the little containers of cheese and cream cheese spread everything else on the lollapalooza plate was at best average.... almost taco bell quaility

Garcia's is great. We have been going there since we moved here in the 1980's. Love going. It has consistently good Mex-Am food, interesting decor, friendly workers (and Owner!). Prices have remained great over the years. Chips & salsa are terrific and generous (and free). I don't know who that other guy was complaining about (definitely not the owner). I recommend Garcia's to anyone who wants to know if there is anyplace good to eat in Eagle River.

This is hands down the most unfriendly atmosphere for families that I've encountered in a long time. Very unprofessional in the use of profane language in front of children. There is no excuse for the words that came from a man that identified himself as the !@&$!@ owner. My family will never frequent this place again and I'm passing all information on the incident word of mouth to hopefully save some other children from the encounter ours had.
** If you don't have kids, you shouldn't eat here because the food just isn't good. Make the drive to Anchorage or try Jalapenos. They have good flavor!! :) ****
