We were so disappointed. We’d heard for years how great this place was and decided to try it for my daughters birthday. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Our server was great! We got our drinks and “bean soup” quickly. It’s more like the bottom of the pot of beans. More like a broth. Ok. But not really a soup. We waited a while for our food but wasn’t suprised to due to it being Saturday night. The bread was not warm and it was tough. The apple butter was So good! The corn, green beans mashed potatoes and gravy tasted directly from a can. No seasoning or salt or any flavor at all! The chicken was so disappointing too. Little pieces with soggy crust and I’ve honestly had better flavor from Popeyes or harps! Definitely not worth the almost $14 per person

If you're a restaurant that is going to do just one thing, you'd better do it very, very well and Monte Ne Inn does just that! They know how to cook great fried chicken. Serving it along with the bean soup, the corn, green beans, mashed potatoes and chicken gravy, makes for a nice family dinner with the comfort foods so many of us grew up with. Like a Sunday-after-church kind of dinner a lot of us remember from childhood, it's comforting and homey. We've been coming to Monte Ne Inn for as long as I can remember (I've lived here all my life) and not only has the food always been so good, the service has always been great too. The only ''bad'' thing I've witnessed here from any of the staff was a couple of years ago, we were there in a booth and an older couple came in and were seated in the booth behind us. They were eating their meal when the man who owns the restaurant came over to their table and told them to ''please hurry up and finish, we need this table''. They hadn't been eating very long when he did this to them and they asked ''what do you mean'' and he told them the table was supposed to have been reserved but the hostess seated them there by mistake and the people it was reserved for were there and waiting for it. There were other tables available, and the couple turned their heads and looked around the dining room and I could tell they were thinking the same thing and finally the man says to the owner ''we'll leave when we're finished'' and the owner said again ''please try to hurry''. The couple were noticeably upset and so were my husband and I and we didn't go back there for a long time because of it. You just shouldn't treat people that way. If the hostess made a mistake, take it up with her, not your customers. I just thought that was rude and I felt sorry for the couple.
