Every time we go we like to sit in the bar area. We rarely have a reservation but Karen still seats us. We have dirty martinis, olive tapenade, and escargot. . Every steak is top quality, the salads are a delightful whimsy, and the service immpecable. My husband loves their mashed potatoes, and i love their mussel and clam appetizer. Best place in Fresno for a cozy, classy, high quality meal and cocktail.

We had not been to the Manhatten in a long time, actually around 5 years ago. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. We ask another couple to celebrate Valentines with us the day after, knowing it would be busy on the 14th. We were seated in the back room with a curtain separating the staff help from the guests. There was cold air blowing over our table. It actually reminded me of a banquet room with banquet tables. The waiter was polite but not very efficient . He would ask if we wanted bread and never bring it. The food did not meet high end restaurant quality. The entrees ordered were prime rib, halibut and filets. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, I must say it was the only thing we enjoyed. We remembered THE MANHATTEN being One of the best in Fresno, sorry to say not any longer.
