Attended a wedding at the Derby Club's upstairs venue with a stunning ocean view balcony. The buffet, open bar, and DJ created a lively atmosphere with plenty of space for a larger crowd. The food was enjoyable, especially the chicken Marsala, but some chairs were worn and could use an upgrade for a more professional look. The Derby Club, located by the sea on the Ventura fairgrounds, offers a fun OTB experience with a view of the Channel Islands. Free admission on Wednesdays and Thursdays, ample parking, and various rooms for different preferences make it a great spot to enjoy horse racing and drinks with friends.

We use come for a great lunch and bet on some horse. But the food has been poor the last few times here. It was slow service and poor quality last time.This time the onion rings were burnt and fries were greasy. I know it's the Derby Club. But the food was much better and cost less. If the prices are going up, they need to maintain the quality.
