My wife and I visited their Bakersfield location on May 15, 2013. We purchased a $10 voucher deal from a local tv station and expected to have a pleasant lunch. We had the philly cheese steak and it was very fresh and tasty.
Time to pay for the meal ... the server/cashier refused to honor a valid, no expiration date voucher.
So ... what could have and should have been an enjoyable outing definitely took a turn for the worse.
No amount of explanation or reasoning on my part could persuade the cashier to accept full face value of the tendered voucher. .... I had to pay what he required or he was going to call the police.
I paid in full the amount he demanded.
If you do visit Johnny Rockets in Bakersfield for a trip "back in time," make sure you show them any coupons or offers before you order. (Who needs surprises?)
I guess way back in the glorious 50's the phrase: "Does not Expire," must have had a meaning I overlooked.
