While traveling from Bakersfield to San Diego, I stopped in Castaic and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time, featuring perfectly cooked meats, eggs, hash browns, and a standout pancake. The service was friendly and attentive, with special thanks to Rene, who handled an awkward situation with great professionalism, and the cook, Jerónimo, who prepared delicious, home-style meals. Although the restroom conditions could be improved, the overall experience-including the welcoming atmosphere and fair prices-makes this an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch.
