Every time we go we are served with excellent customer service. All items we have ordered have been excellent and ample. Most of the time we have to take some home. And the bakery?!?! Wow!

Please Stay Away From This Burnt-Out establishment. My family had been going to this restaurant/bakery since the 70's and last weekend fiasco was one of the countless disappointments we've had with this place, so we decided that we'll never go back to Katella Deli any longer.
To make the long story short, we've noticed that from the Owner/Management and on down to the employees, 'Burn- Out' and 'Don't Care Attitude' are so evident. From poor food quality to harsh attitude of the wait staff, it's so obvious that this Restaurant should just call it quits and close the door shut. We celebrated a Birthday and a Wedding Anniversary only to be mistreated and given poor quality food. We normally give over 15% tips but we didn't feel that the 'wait staff' deserves the 10% we left them.
To the Management of Katella Deli, please do the public a favor by following your burnt-out attitudes and close down your place for good. If you really want to stay in business, please get some Professional Culinary and Guest Hospitality Training.

Any person too stupid to change seats in an empty restaurant is not a good a reviewer. Katella Deli is not fancy and actually a little WASPy as far as the atmosphere and about half the menu. YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT TO ORDER! If you are a person who grew up eating deli and are stuck in this area, Katella is a fine deli that you can work with. I often order go but have never expected good service at a deli, who does? Ok so whats good? The Best Meat Knish I have ever eaten. It's not hamburger meat like Jerry's or Cantors. It's a mix of Corned Beef and Pastrami. The Matzo Ball Soup is a must. The traditional deli sandwiches are as good as any ( Corned Beef, Pastrami, Ruben ). The Bakery is really good. White Chocolate Florentine Cookies, Fresh Strawberry Pie, Oreo Chocolate Cake, Cup Cakes, all good baked fresh right there.

I've been here twice now and the food is amazing. Prices are decent. Clam Chowder is as good as I've had and I've had some good ones.

3strikes your out!,3rd time in a row terrible service,cold food, seating that smelled like vomit/urine,or right next to dirty dish bin station, when the whole dining room was empty, and a manager that could of cared less,i would like to say i enjoyed my dinner, but when it arrived, cold.cold cold onion rings and my hot pastrami, was ice cold, never again will i eat in this filthy restaurant and i have been coming here for 27 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
