I have given this restaurant a number of tries to keep me coming back. Not one single time did I enjoy my food. Apparently, their Fish & Chips is their 'signature' dish and was almost the most expensive thing on their menu at about $15.00. It was HORRIBLE! The fish was very thin and the breading on the outside from deep frying was gummy and greasy. Even the french fries were not even close to any I've eaten elsewhere. Greasy and limp. When I told the restaurant about my experience, they told me that the owners weren't there at the time, but if I called them the next day, I would be taken care of. How can they take care of my bad food experiences when nothing on their menu was served to me to my liking?

They should always have someone in the restaurant who can help a customer with a 'bad taste' in their mouth, instead of being asked to call back tomorrow. That factor right there, didn't set very well with me.

The establishment itself is lovely, inside and out. The view of the Delta while inside, is gorgeous. It's too bad the atmosphere and the food don't mesh.

I'll continue to go to Tugs Bar & Grill on the main drag of Bethel Island. Their food ROCKS!! As does the atmosphere. Honestly, I'd rather have no view and good food than the other way around. TUGS does an incredible job with all that they do!
