Upon checking into the Grande Colonial for my relative's wedding, a mix-up initially landed us in a lower-tier room, but the hotel promptly rectified the situation, moving us to a room with a stunning ocean view the next day. Despite the historic charm and excellent customer service, some amenities were lacking, such as slippers and spacious showers, but the overall experience was still enjoyable, especially with the proximity to the ocean and nearby attractions in La Jolla.
