Windmills Cafe is a favorite haunt for me, offering a satisfying array of lunch options like sandwiches and salads. The Crispy Chicken Salad and Windmills Club Melt sandwich are my top picks, always leaving me with delicious leftovers for the next day. The friendly staff, quick service, and consistent quality of the food make it a standout choice for a peaceful and enjoyable meal in Ukiah.

I went to Windmill Cafe yesterday for a light lunch, I ordered a steak sandwich which I asked our server to share it between my hubby and myself and we each had a milkshake, our shared sandwich came out but....the steak had a thick piece of grissel which honestly was half the meat, on my half sandwich I got a thin sliver of actual meat, my lucky hubby got to have at least half of his piece of steak that was edible, I told our server who spoke to her boss and she came back to us saying they would only charge us 50% of the cost of the sandwich, when I went to pay it turned out that what we heard as 50% was actually 15%, I'm really annoyed at having to pay $12.95 For a terrible sandwich, I do feel bad though because I left the cafe without leaving a tip, it actually wasn't the servers fault but I was so annoyed. I certainly won't be visiting Windmill Cafe again.
