The event I attended at a beautiful venue in a gorgeous neighborhood supported the Daraja Academy of Kenya, a leadership academy for bright but impoverished Kenyan girls. Hosted by NGU, a youth group within Unity Church, the event featured films about the academy and a Q&A with its founders, all while serving snacks and beverages. The peaceful vibe in the building, with its high ceilings and lots of light, made it a perfect setting for the occasion.
