I have enjoyed and frequented SNB for many many years. I was so excited when they finally reopened in 2021 only to be gravely disappointedThe food has always been excellent but tonight was not great. The menu has changed and does not include the Sierra Nevada salad (big mistake). I ordered a pasta dish only to find several large Unchopped anchovies in the dish. Yuck! Anchovies we’re not listed in the description of the dish. It was horrible. The waiter didn’t even know there were anchovies in the dish(apparently they used some other uncommon word to indicate anchovies that started with a B). She had to check with the chef as she don’t know the word either. My friend ordered the spatzle which was dry and unseasoned. I love SNB but their reopening did not live up to the high quality standards of SNB and Ken Grossman. I implore you to have your wait staff know and taste what is on the menu. Even more disappointing was our waiter knew I didn’t like the pasta dish (I told her) and saw I didn’t eat it and still charged us. I ordered dessert just to get the fishy taste out of my mouth and was charged for that as well. It was my friend’s birthday and we were so excited to finally be back. Please, please SNB get this right-we live close to the brewery and always take anyone who visits us there. Now I will be weary. Prior to this I would have given 5 stars. Hope the food situation will be resolved before Oktoberfest (my favorite).
