On a crisp morning before heading up to Tahoe, the aroma of crispy chicken fried steak and freshly made biscuits with rich gravy wrapped around me like a warm embrace, reminding me of simpler times in Texas. The cozy, unpretentious diner hummed softly with friendly chatter and quick service, where every bite carried that genuine, home-cooked comfort that fills you up and soothes the soul. Surrounded by familiar faces and the gentle bustle of a small-town eatery, it felt like a perfect start to an adventurous day ahead.

They are open for Mexican Dinner and it is authentic and very tasty!! They open at 4pm. Salsa has a nice spice. Guacamole is made fresh. The beans and rice are very good!!

My recent visit to a new breakfast spot in Pollock Pines left me thoroughly impressed by the authentic Texan chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy, reminiscent of classic diner dishes from decades past, along with the friendly service and cozy atmosphere that made it a perfect start to our annual trip.
