The owner and staff here are super friendly, making for a welcoming vibe. The food is tasty, especially the clam chowder, and the view of the lake is absolutely stunning. While it gets crowded and parking can be a hassle, I still love coming back for the laid-back atmosphere and great meals with friends.

Horrible horrible experience this place is a tourist trap, hosts r EXTREMELY RUDE drinks are horrible I mean I get a rude bartender but if your rude you better make a heck of a drink"¦IF YOYR IN THE AREA DO NOT DINE HERE!!

I always eat here when I'm in Tahoe. Love the calamari, fish and chips and their clam chowder. The Rum Runner is great too. Give it a chance. It is wonderful sitting outside and watching Lake Tahoe activity and scenery

We had one of the worst dining experiences at The Beacon Restaurant. We ordered clam chowder which was tasty, but cold. I ordered a hamburger well done, it came rare, sent it back, only to have it come back AGAIN rare. Third time, I lost my appetite. We ordered Margaritas and specifically stated we wanted them prepared with tequila. When the bill came there was an additional charge for Margaritas made with Tito's vodka, lots of confusion. A waiter broke a glass near us and a splinter hit my friend in her leg causing it to bleed. Not one person apologized. Waiter had a terrible attitude and so did the manager. Never again!
