I recently (9.25.10) took my wife here for her birthday thinking it would be a good idea. I was quite wrong. Keep in mind that I have worked as a server and my wife is the manager of a restaurant; we always try to give servers the benefit of the doubt, we are unbiased, and we tip very well in almost every situation. We were seated fairly quickly, but that seemed to be the only thing they are in a hurry about. It took over an hour and a half from this point before we were able to leave the restaurant. They weren't busy by any means, over half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, and there was not a shortage of employees. Our server only came to our table three times, very few and far between. When the food finally came, (almost 45 minutes after we ordered) none of it was good. I ordered the lasagna (not a very difficult plate) and it was entirely burned. We had every intention of getting dessert at the end (Italian treats being my weakness) but we decided against it because we did not want to wait an additional hour. Our server left us with our check, and i quickly got my card out to pay.Our server, was in and out regularly, but never came back to us. Other tables were being tended to, checks being taken and they would leave, but we had to sit there. The host walked by seven times, clearly acknowledging the fact that we were waiting to pay, and did nothing about it. I am not a rude customer, I resent the people that "shake their empty drinks" at there server, but it got to the point where I was holding the bill booklet up showing the host, again to no avail. Finally we got so tired of waiting (it was at least thirty minutes since we we given the bill) so we walked up to the host and set the bill down in front of him. He must have seen our frustration because there wasn't anything further said, so we paid and left. I love Italian, but I will never go back here.
