We waited two years for Tings to reopen. What a disappointment. My husband and I and another couple anxiouly waited for 5:30 p.m. on the night of August 19, 2012. We had made reservations for that time. We arrived 10 minutes early. There was no hostess anywhere around. I finally stopped a very harried waitress (who spoke very poor English) and she showed us to a table. No water, silver, napkins. Fifteen minutes later she brought us water with no ice or lemon. No silver, no menus. Another 15 minutes went by and we asked to see the manager. The owner came over after yet ANOTHER 10 minutes. Apologized and said they were busy. She took our order. THIRTY minutes later the order came. All four orders were wrong. Nobody brought silver or napkins. Again we asked for the owner. Again she apologized. Said she would bring our dinners right out. Still no napkins or silverware. The dinners came out again. Served on PLASTIC (???) plates. All food was cold with little to no taste. Very bland. By this time it is almost comical. Almost! PLASTIC PLATES??? I can't get over that. SOOO now we are getting angry. Again the owner apologized and said they were busy. NOW we had water, utensils and napkins..no ice in the water. No tea. We kept the food even tho it was cold because by now it is almost 7:30. People who had come in after us had eaten and had left. The owner took off two of the dinners so we didn't have to pay for them...should have given us ALL meals plus coupons for another try at the place later on. What a total disappointment after waiting 2 years. The cooks are horrible, the waitress we had was not understanding anything we said and the owner said it was her first day..she obviously needs more training). We have spoken to many other people who were anxious to try Tings. Not ONE OF THEM enjoyed the food. We won't be going back.
