I went into the chocolate rose newly renamed the country rose and I had a horrible experience. The staff was friendly and very welcoming but the staff in the kitchen were loud and barked orders. The servers looked overwhelmed. One server Brianna mentioned that the kitchen did not have its things together and was unprepared. I was astonished by this comment while I was trying to order my biscuits and gravy. When it comes to the food it was not my top favorite. The potatoes were under cooked and not that warm and the gravy was cold. It took over fifteen minutes for me to get a refill and I noticed my server Brianna forgot about my requests. I will never return to this place and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.

Went in to this resturant in the past and was not impressed; however recently stopped in and the restaurant is under new ownership! Much better food and service. The new owner came by to talk with us and made me feel extremely welcomed and my server was very busy but continued to keep checking on us.
Amazing biscuits and gravy and their coffee is THE BEST! Stop in if you are in Northern Colorado.

The food at the Chocolate Rose is some of the best local cuisine in the area. Among the best in Wellington. It has a small sitting area, but is worth the wait. I love the homemade soups that change each day. They also have great homemade Quiche which changes each day.
The breakfast omelets are also great with the sauteed onions. I always have the homemade applesauce. It is flavorful and chunky if that is what you like.
